Zero-Click Search

Zero-click search is when someone gets what they needed without leaving the search results — for example, they get an answer from a snippet, a knowledge panel, or an AI-generated answer. Your content may have supplied the answer, but the visitor never reaches your site.

This complicates how you define and measure success. If a real outcome is someone searching and finding your hours of operation, or your stance on a topic, and they got it from an answer engine, your web analytics won't show a visit despite qualifying as a "success." Planning for that is part of deciding what success means before launch.
