Web Steering Committee

A web steering committee is a group of people from across the organization who meet regularly to keep the website pointed in the right direction. Marketing, IT, communications, and the business units each have a stake, and the committee is where those interests get worked out rather than fought over by email.

It's a key piece of digital governance. The committee decides which initiatives matter, settles disputes between stakeholder groups, and gives the product owner the backing to act.
