User Experience (UX)

User experience is the design of how a person interprets, navigates, and feels their way through your site. It is a broad discipline, part research and part design, concerned with whether someone can accomplish what they came to do and how they feel along the way.

It is not the same as the user interface (UI), which is the narrower set of buttons, forms, and controls a person touches. UX covers the whole journey through a site. A site can be beautiful and still have poor UX if people can't find what they need.
