User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

User acceptance testing, or UAT, is the stage where the people who will actually use a system try it out and confirm it does what they need.

Where other quality assurance focuses on whether the functionality and design match the intent, UAT asks site visitors and editors to review day-to-day usage of the system. For example, tour editors might try to publish a real article, or a stakeholder might walk through the checkout flow.
