Scope

The section-by-section definition of what a project will and won't do. If the project charter is the why, scope is the what.

Scope is where you get specific: defining features, page types, integrations, or process. It is not the same as a statement of work, which is the contractual document that wraps scope, pricing, and terms together. Scope is the substance, and the statement of work is the paperwork around it. A clearly written scope is also your best defense against scope creep.
