Quality Assurance (QA)

Quality assurance, or QA, is the deliberate work of testing a site to confirm it does what it's supposed to do, both before you launch and every time you change something afterward.

QA covers more than just whether clicking around works correctly; your testing team will check that features meet their requirements, that pages load quickly, that the site holds up under traffic, and that nothing breaks when developers ship new code. Good QA is planned rather than improvised. You decide ahead of time what working means, write it down, and check against it.
