Minimum Viable Product (MVP)

A base level of design and functionality that you launch first, then improve in later phases.

The minimum viable product (MVP) is the most basic version of your site that's worth putting in front of people, enough to be useful despite not including all requested features. The point of an MVP is to ship something real, learn from how it's used, and build the rest on evidence rather than guesses. A well-defined MVP also helps with scope creep, since it gives every "must have" a home in a later phase instead of cramming it all into launch.
