Large Language Model (LLM)

large language model (LLM) is the type of AI behind most text and answer engine tools, and it's the style of AI that provides generative AI writing, summarizing, and answering. It's trained on very large amounts of text, and works by predicting plausible language one piece at a time.

While an LLM produces fluent, useful drafts, it doesn't know facts the way a database does, so it can state something wrong with total confidence. That gap is why a human-in-the-loop is important.
