Digital Asset Management System

A content management system (CMS) intended to manage media assets, such as images, audio, or video. Digital asset management (DAM) systems specialize in automated processing and renditioning of media into different formats and artifacts.

Many DAM systems are used in parallel with a CMS, and connectors are provided between the systems so that media assets stored in the DAM system can be used by editors in the CMS.
