Brand standards spell out how your brand should look and sound, including colors, approved logos, fonts, and photography. They exist so that your organization feels cohesive regardless of medium, whether it's the website, a brochure, or a social post.

For a web project, brand standards feed directly into your graphic design and style guide. They govern the whole organization, while a style guide or design system translates those rules into the specifics of the site itself.
