Back-End

Back-end technology is technology that relates to the server upon which the website has been built. It's the code that runs processes, pulls data from databases, and ensures integrations are connected.

Network infrastructure, the core programming language, and database and server operations are all considered part of the back-end. This may also be called "server-side."
